Painting Family Memories
I have been overwelmed by the response I've had from my Christmas Special offer last month- The deal was to reproduce your favourite facebook/instagram photo scene into an oil painting. I've been inundated and moved by the many photos of precious family moments and happy holiday memories and that I have recieved.
After the last couple of years, it feels even more poignant than ever to celebrate special memories and time spent with loved ones before the world went mad
The painting below of two siblings playing with their Granddad was commissioned by their Mum. Sadly their Granddad passed away last year so it was important for the family to have a painting to remember him in more carefree times.
The little boy is now 9 (he was 3 in the painting) and his Mum said he welled up when he saw the painting as it brought back such a rush of memories. "This is how I want my kids to remember their Granddad" she said.
I also received many past holiday snaps - it was interesting to see so many different and exotic destinations:
Holiday memories of a family safari in Africa, and a sunset kiss in the Maldives
A jungle hideaway and an Asian rooftop pool (below)
Some scenes a bit closer to home (below)
A little chap exploring the english countryside on a hot Summer's day
And finally, a windy day on a typically British promenade - four young siblings admiring the view :)
