I am a Hampshire Portrait Artist specialising in children.
I have been drawing and painting people professionally for 25 years and trained at Heatherleys School of Portraiture & Figurative Art in London.
My specialised mediums are oil paint, pastels and charcoal. I have always had a fascination with the human structure, and especially the face. I love the fact that every face is totally unique and I like to delve into the essence of my subjects. I try to inject emotion and drama into my portraits and I pride myself on capturing their true likeness and character
My background is in design and illustration, I worked in London in the design and advertising industry until I moved to Hampshire 17 years ago. I now paint full-time in my studio producing portrait commissions as well as working on personal projects for exhibitions. I also enjoy running regular life drawing and painting classes where I get a chance to share my knowledge and passion
